Translators and interpreters credentialed by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) are required to complete 120 Professional Development (PD) points during each three-year recertification period. This requirement applies to all certified categories, including translators, interpreters, and specialist interpreters.
The 120 PD points must include a minimum of 30 points in each of the following three compulsory categories:

Practitioners must maintain PD and work practice logbooks via the NAATI Online portal and submit these as part of their recertification application. Documentation must clearly demonstrate activities undertaken, point values, and how minimum requirements were met.
Recertification Process:
Audit: NAATI conducts random audits of 5–10% of applications. If selected, practitioners must provide additional supporting documentation for PD activities claimed.
